QUESTnet are celebrating 30 years of community and collaboration, and are exploring the themes of Reflect, Evolve, and Thrive in this year’s conference, held 22-24 April on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
About the event
Queensland University Directors of Information Technology (QUDIT) biennially host the QUESTnet conference, which is designed to promote and advance the development and use of information and communications technologies in higher education and research across Queensland.
Come and meet the Australian Access Federation (AAF) team at the event. Terry Smith, Head of Support, Dalia Abraham, Senior Technical Support Analyst, and Nick Rossow, eResearch Portfolio Manager, will be attending the conference. Terry and Dalia will be located at the AHECS booth.
Nick Rossow will be presenting at the conference on 22 April, on Framework for cyber secure approach to identify and access management.
Nick will discuss how the AAF, in partnership with fellow National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS) facilities, universities, government and industry, is building a Trust and Identity Framework. This will enable researchers to enjoy a more cohesive and secure collaborative network of services through common policies, standards and technologies.
The presentation will discuss the Framework as well as give some practical examples of how the AAF is implementing it in collaboration with national research facilities such as the Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre and the National Imaging Facility.
