AAF’s team, including Sarah Nisbet (Head of eResearch), Nick Rossow (Portfolio Manager), and Russell Ianniello (Head of Technology), recently presented at the AHECS 2023 Cybersecurity Summit held 31 October – 3 November in Canberra.
The AHECS Summit is an event specifically for cyber security professionals within the Australasian higher education and research sector, where latest developments are discussed through guest presentations and panel sessions.
The AAF presented on the Trust and Identity capability for national research infrastructures (many of which are hosted by universities), including cyber security practices in research facilities, and Rapid IdP, the AAF’s Rapid Identity Provider.
Sarah Nisbet said, “Trust and identity will provide essential cyber secure infrastructure that will underpin all national research facilities, through secure identity and access management technologies and practices.
“It will help protect our national assets from the threat of cyber-attacks and foreign interference, through safe and secure identity infrastructure, and trust policies and practices.”
